The ninth album by the British Rock band is The Beatles which is commonly known as The White Album. This is the fifteenth American album too. This is the first album of the Beatles that was after the death of their manager Brian Epstein. It was released on 22nd November 1968. The tracks were composed in Abbey Studio’s and few in Trident Studio’s. The Beatles session’s were notable for their formal transition from 4-track to 8-track recording. Though it is usual that all the songs in an album will be written and composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, with this album all the four members began to show their individual talents and interest in song writing, and to display their styles which would be carries over their solo performances. Simultaneously with the release of this album the Beatle members who were working on solo albums were also released. The expectations of the release of The Beatles were very high because of the blockbuster success of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The album innovated directly at the first position in the UK chart on 1st December 1968 and lasted for seven week in the same position.
